Join Alleycakes baker and owner Ali as we learn to decorate our own cakes from the comfort of our kitchens. Ali will provide everything you need including to make an awesome mini cake including:

• 4 inch cake
• Cake board
• Buttercream
• Sprinkles
• Macarons
• Cake Spatula

This class will take place via Zoom and ticket price includes all items listed above (Note: Tickets are priced per household and include one kit per ticket purchased. If you would like more than one kit, please email [email protected]). Kits can be picked up from Alleycakes in Neptune Beach on Saturday June 20th or Tuesday June 23rd. You can select your pickup date when purchasing your ticket. Proceeds from this event will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida.

ABOUT ALI & ALLEYCAKES

From a young age Ali has always found joy in science and experimenting. Through this Ali’s Grandma introduced her to baking and candy making. She taught me so many of her recipes along with her incredible techniques, even creating a whole cookbook for Ali that included their family secret recipes.

In college Ali would bake from the cookbook here and there, but in her second year she began to really dive into her Grandma’s book. She continued reading book after book and the baking world took her over! It was her new love and totally distracting hobby that she couldn’t stop learning and discovering. After a few years of pursuing baking as a hobby, a friend asked Ali if she could cater her sister’s wedding. After her first wedding she had the itch and clients starting to build. I started fabricating displays and baking hundreds and hundreds of treats every weekend. By 2014, I was lucky to meet someone to invest in my business and after finding our perfect space, our brick and mortar was open for business February 1, 2014. Since that first wedding, Alleycakes has grown from a special-order-only-company to a full retail bakery.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida (BBBSNEFL), is a youth mentoring organization with the mission of creating and supporting one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Working within the communities of Northeast Florida since 1914, BBBSNEFL has effectively inspired change in the lives of thousands through impactful mentoring programs and meaningful relationships that defend and ignite today’s youth to reach their full potential. We currently have active matches in Nassau, Duval, Baker, Clay, and Volusia Counties including a service footprint reaching Putnam, Flagler and Union Counties.

Through collaboration with schools and community organizations, we identify youth who need or want a mentor. By placing a caring adult in the life of a child, Big Brothers Big Sisters creates safe, high-quality, long-lasting mentoring relationships that help vulnerable youth change the odds and reach their full potential through personal and academic achievement. Professionally supported by our staff, individual road-maps for success are developed in concert with parents, children, and mentors.

Because of partners like Alley Cakes, Events Uncorked, and YOU, a Little in our program may become an entrepreneur, community leader or your next Baker - the potential is limitless.
