Walter Parks has created a secular show of reimagined southern hymns, spirituals, work songs and the songs they’ve inspired.
As part of the show, Walter has also arranged some of the swamp hollers that originally served as a means of communication in the late 1800s/early 1900s between families, farmers, and hunters who lived in the Okefinokee Swamp, near where he grew up, along with a few Richie Havens tributes and some originals.
