About This Event

The Arlington Mod & More Home Tour and Symposium is back! Join us for a tour of Jacksonville’s next great historic neighborhood, featuring the coolest Mid-Century Modern architecture in the region!


The event is presented by the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors. All proceeds benefit Old Arlington Inc. (OAI), a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the architecture, history, culture, and economic vitality of the Arlington community in Jacksonville, Fla. Since its founding in 1993, OAI has been instrumental in documenting Arlington’s rich and interesting history, and in preserving its historic structures.

“Renovating Your Mid-Mod Home” A panel discussion featuring experienced homeowners and construction experts who will share the dos and don’ts of a mid-mod renovation. (capacity is limited so arrive early)

Mid-Century Modern architecture became popular after WWII through the 1970s. This minimalistic, functional style features open floor plans, clean lines, muted curves, large windows and indoor-outdoor living spaces. Arlington, which became Jacksonville’s fastest growing neighborhood after the construction of the Mathews Bridge in 1953, boasts an impressive concentration of Mid-Century Modern architecture.


Frank Lloyd Wright, considered the father of modern architecture, inspired many talented local architects, including Robert Broward, George Fisher, William Marshall, William Morgan, Ted Pappas and others. Their inspired designs still grace the beautiful Arlington community and are featured in our home tour each year.
