An Evening of Americana at Riverside Restaurant
Join Jacksonville Magazine and Jacksonville Symphony in celebrating the flavors and sounds of Americana at Riverside Restaurant on May 1. This exclusive gathering offers an intimate and inviting atmosphere, perfect for an evening of delicious food, live music, and warm company.
The Evening’s Experience:
Arrival: Arrival begins at 6:30 PM
Dinner: At 7 PM, take your seat at community tables and enjoy a thoughtfully crafted, three-course dinner inspired by the diverse flavors of classic Americana. Each course will be expertly paired with a complementary wine. The talented Riverside Restaurant culinary team will bring nostalgic comfort and bold creativity to each dish.
Symphony Wine Pairing Dinner
First Course: Bacon-wrapped stuffed shrimp with lump crab and roasted poblano pepper aioli paired with champagne.
Second Course: Smoked ribs with collard greens and fingerling potato salad paired with pinot noir.
Third Course: Balsamic-glazed beef belly with cabbage and celery root puree paired with red blend.
Fourth Course: Blueberry cobbler a la mode.
Music: Throughout the night, enjoy live performances by Jacksonville Symphony musicians inspired by Gershwin's iconic An American in Paris, coming to the Jacksonville Symphony on June 6th and 7th.
- In a firework season finale, Courtney Lewis leads the Jacksonville Symphony in Gershwin's iconic An American in Paris, which vividly depicts the bustling streets in the French capital. Closing the evening is Copland's landmark Third Symphony, capturing the spirit of America with patriotic orchestration. Also in the lineup is the third world premiere of the season with Carlos Simon’s Zodiac: a bold, new Jacksonville Symphony commission. Don’t miss this captivating fusion of jazzy charm, Americana and new musical voices, providing a fitting crescendo to a season and 75 years of exceptional musical experiences.
