Sun Child is a dream folk project created by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Brooke Garwood. Rooted in the salt air of Jacksonville Beach, Sun Child draws you into their world of dizzy nostalgia, painting a sound that is both innately introspective and authentic. It’s for the dreamers, the overthinkers, and the in-between moments.
Sun Child's first EP, Everything, was recorded by Patrick Taylor of Trash Panda in his home studio, and released in April of 2023. Since then, the project has been joined by Jeremy Prince, Mike Monahan, Kevin Peacon, and Millie Hudson. Their music doesn’t shout, it lingers.
With a growing presence in the indie folk world, Sun Child continues to carve out a space that’s uniquely their own. The group has been steadily working on their debut album, ‘Waves’, out August 29 of 2025. This 10 track record asks you to sit down, breathe, and feel something real.
