Sun Child is a dreamy folk-pop artist from Jacksonville Beach, Florida. What started as a solo project in April of 2023 by singer-songwriter Brooke Garwood has quickly evolved into an incandescent ensemble.

Sun Child’s debut EP, “Everything,” was recorded with Patrick Taylor of Trash Panda in his home studio. At the time, Garwood was a solo artist who had just moved back to the beaches from Charleston, South Carolina, where she was a part of several folk projects. The goal of her “coming out project” was to convey a fuller and more distinct sound compared to older tracks like “Elephants” and “Can’t Move,” released under different identities.

“Sun Child released debut EP in April, heightening the emotional heft of her songwriting and toying with dream-pop and psychedelic tinges to forge a new identity. Garwood’s dreamy yet distinctive vocal stylings gently rise to the surface of her songs. Even on songs that feel like solo performances, like the piano ballad “Boots,” there are subtly layered vocals and reverb-drenched electric guitars buoying the tender delivery. And on bouncier cuts like “Backseat,” the effect is even more pronounced, with swirling production that feels like a DIY version of something similar to Japanese Breakfast or Soccer Mommy.” - Charleston City Paper

Sun Child recently released another single, “Ghost”, which was the first single recorded as a full band at Pine Studios with Jacob Hudson.

Caitlin Mahoney is an independent singer-songwriter whose voice has been praised as “powerful and soulful - a mix of Adele and Fiona Apple.” After a decade of making and releasing music in NYC, Caitlin headed west for a while to Los Angeles for a change of scenery to seek out some fresh inspiration. The result is her 3rd full-length album “Name What I Need” - a mature, hopeful reflection on boundaries, burnout and self-love drenched in synth pop sounds and featuring the warm, dynamic vocals she has become known for across the US and Europe. Caitlin spent a short-but-sweet two years in LA, and she recently chronicled her return to her home state of Florida in a lyric video featuring her song “Forest” — the latest of 5 singles Caitlin has released this year ahead of the new album’s release in 2024. Caitlin and her dog Annie are excited to discover their new home base of Northeast Florida and Atlantic Beach.

Caitlin’s music projects have always prioritized highlighting and celebrating other creative women in addition to herself, prioritizing femme-led music videos, graphic design, photography, and visual art. The Washington Post premiered a music video for a song from the album called “Burn The Book” which featured personal stories of four women writers in collaboration with the NYC literary community HIP Lit. The video accompanied a social movement called “The Burn The Book Project,” inspiring women to light a match to societal pressures imposed upon them, and to write and share their stories.

Her music has been featured on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, ABC Family's The Fosters, the Family Channel in Canada, Daytrotter, and Starbucks stores throughout the United States. Her performance and songs appear in a number of indie short films and the feature film "Women & Sometimes Men" which was featured at the Chelsea Film Festival and the Portland Film Festival.

Since 2013, Caitlin has played hundreds of shows across the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy.

While living in Brooklyn, Caitlin also created an original children’s music project with Hannah Winkler called The Buttons. The duo released a full-length album of original music for young children and their families called “Good Day, Friends and Neighbors!” Caitlin is passionate about female empowerment as well as education and regularly supports She's the First, Girls Who Code, and Girls Write Now. In 2016, she ran the New York City marathon, raising $2,500 for Project Renewal, a NYC-based organization with the mission to end homelessness.
