Spring is the time for garden parties and Jacksonville Magazine is hosting one to celebrate the season. And to raise money for a great cause! The inaugural Rose Soiree pours into the garden patio at the Five Points Chapel for an evening of delicious food, signature drinks, and maybe a glass of wine. Perhaps two.
Approximately a dozen local vendors will be present serving a melange of delish eats and bubbly libations. Plus, we'll have live music, a silent auction, swag bags and prize giveaways including dining gift certificates and a one-night stay at the luxurious Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine. In addition, Olivia Gonzalez from Garage Roses Art Studio will be on hand creating a live painting. Char Above the Bar will be enticing the taste buds with gourmet charcuterie, Haymaker Coffee Co. will be pouring samples from their Barrel Aged Coffee set, and Black Box Baked Goods is sure please with its selection of sweet treats.
Still hungry? Lauren's Luscious Bites will catering the event with family style meals cooked from scratch. For dessert, SmallCakes Jacksonville will be serving their gourmet alcohol-infused cupcakes (this is an adult party, after all), and they will be contributing to the silent auction with "Sweet Bucks" good for goodies in their shop. Also, Cheers 904 (picture below) will roll up with one of their awesome "Bar Carts" pouring samples of a signature cocktail featuring Two Titmice Vodka.
Helping to make the garden setting even more beautiful will be the team from from Got Flowers Jax, who will be adding gorgeous floral table arrangements. Acclaimed local violinist Kyle Wehner lends his musical talents, playing a mix of classical and pop, from Bach to U2.
And that's just for starters. More vendors will be coming, as well.
But wait, there's more! Guest will be treated to swag bags featuring glam gifts from Bellezza Salon and Wild Ivy, as well as auction items from Ten Salon, Prim Salon and Hawthorne Salon. Still not enough? Modern Aesthetic Centers (MAC) will be raffling a certificate for a Botox treatment ($260 value) and, for the silent auction, MAC has donated a $1,200 laser hair removal treatment. Oh, don't forget to stop for a picture or two at the photo booth. There's even a rumor that the Jacksonville Magazine "Shoe Cam" will come out of retirement for an appearance (be sure to dress to impress).
