Fresh off of the first national tour of SIX the musical, Broadway actress Olivia Donalson returns home for a one night only vocal celebration at the Blue Jay. Her musical studies began right here in Jacksonville at Lavilla school of the arts, and Douglas Anderson School of the Arts where she played the Oboe and the English horn. Meanwhile, thanks to the FSCJ summer music theater experience, Olivia was able to develop her skills as a theater performer, joining them each summer for their musical productions. She then graduated from Ithaca college with a BFA in musical theater, and has since worked on the Disney Cruise Line, the first national tour of Aladdin the musical, and Aladdin the Musical on Broadway.
Always a lover of jazz, during the pandemic shutdown, she was able to transform from an enthusiastic admirer to a rising jazz vocalist. With the help of local music legends and weekly jam sessions, she has been able to develop her skills and bring her Broadway pizzazz to jazz music and beyond. She has performed her solo show in venues across the country, her favorites being Minton’s Playhouse in New York City and the legendary Blues Alley in DC. Returning to Jax, She’s very excited to perform now for friends, family and beyond, and knows that this night will be a celebration to remember.
