JAX LANTERN PARADE WORKSHOP: ILLUMINATED PARASOLS

Thurs, March 22

6:00 to 8:00 p.m. | Members $30, Non-Members $40

This workshop is offered in support of the first-ever Jacksonville Lantern Parade on April 7, 2017! The lantern parade is a creative community collaboration and will take place on 2 mile span up and down the St. Johns River. Participating with your own hand-painted, one-of-a-kind lantern will make the experience unforgettable. Please read parade details at www.jacksonvillelanternparade.com

Create your own illuminated parasol for the Jacksonville Lantern Parade. Let the bright colors and imagery on display in the exhibition Fields of Color: the Art of Japanese Printmaking inspire your design. After experiencing the exhibition, participants will work with a local artist to design an illuminated parasol while enjoying beer, wine, and light appetizers.
