All proceeds from the event support emergency food and financial assistance to help the most vulnerable residents of our community. Catholic Charities operates a food pantry in St. Johns County. For individuals and families in rural areas, the Back Roads Mobile Food Pantry provides access to nutritious food. Children receive food through the Weekend Hunger Backpack Program at elementary and middle schools so they will not go hungry over the weekend. Last year, Catholic Charities distributed over 56,000 pounds of food in St. Johns, Putnam and Flagler counties.
