The annual Great Chefs of Amelia Island returns October 25, 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO OCTOBER 25th.

After a couple of weeks attempting to reschedule the second annual Great Chefs of Amelia Island, we are thrilled to announce the event will go on. Not as originally planned, but it will still be an amazing evening featuring the island’s top culinary talent—all to raise funds for a tremendous local charity organization, the true beneficiary of this wonderful meal and happening.

Because of scheduling conflicts, we have been unable to secure commitments from all the chefs and restaurants slated to appear in the pre-Hurricane Irma event. Many area restaurants are still recovering from the storm, including repairs to facilities and equipment and trying to recoup losses due to lack of electrical service and customers. So, considering the circumstances, we understand if participating in this year's Great Chefs—something that does require a good deal of donated time and money—is not possible for some.

However, we do have enough participation to host what promises to be an unforgettable five-course meal prepared by Amelia's Island's top chefs. Instead of team competition featuring dueling plates, guests will be asked to choose their favorite course of the four served. An overall course winner will be named at evening's end. Your competing chefs will be chef Daven Wardynski of Omni Amelia Island Plantation, chef Jose Salome of 29 South, chef Daniel Iammarino of Barzin and chef Arnaldo Gonzalez of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Dessert is provided by the culinary team of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

Of course, the reason for hosting the event is help further the vital mission of Barnabas. And every ticket sold and dollar raised will still go to the organization.

The new date for Great Chefs of Amelia Island is Wednesday, October 25, 6 PM, at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Should you have any questions about the event, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for your patience as we work through this difficult time for many. We look forward to seeing everyone on the 25th.
