From the competition series that brought Great Chefs of Jacksonville and Great Chefs of St. Augustine, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island hosts the inaugural culinary competition featuring the best restaurants of Amelia Island. Patrons will judge each course, picking one favorite dish from the two served. Ballots from each course will be collected and tabulated, with an invited panel of judges serving as the final arbiter in the event of a tie.
Diners will be treated to a three-course meal and vote on their favorite dishes to see which team will take home the victory. The theme of the evening's dishes is Coastal Treasures. Desserts for the night will be specially prepared by the talented chefs of The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.
The luxurious dining experience will benefit Barnabas, a local charity whose mission is to provide assistance to individuals and families in crisis throughout Nassau County. They address critical issues, such as hunger, affordable health care, and prevention of homelessness.
Team Fernandina will feature (pictured from left to right) Scotty Schwartz from 29 South Restaurant, Chad Livingston from Burlingame Restaurant and Kenny Gilbert from Gilbert's Underground Kitchen.
