A few of Counting Carolyn’s reasons for budgeting:
1. To keep a grip on spending – I love shopping but mostly online. If I did not have my budget to keep me on track, I would never know how much I am spending on clothes I do not need but want.
2. To reward myself – Yes, one of the categories on my budget is Carolyn’s Savings. While I’m paying my bills, I make sure to reward myself as well.
3. Peace of mind – My budget helps me sleep better at night because I do not lie awake worrying about how I’m going to make ends meet.
4. Little to no debt- My budget keeps me out of debt and/or helps me gets my debt under control.
5. Goals- A budget helps me to stay focused on my main goal – buying a house
