In celebration of the inaugural Jacksonville Lantern Parade on April 7, 2018, MOSH is hosting a series of lantern-construction workshops. Learn from local artists and MOSH Staff about the cultural significance of lanterns throughout the world, how different lanterns are made, and why creating your own will bring a magical element to any evening occasion.

Each workshop includes all the materials you’ll need to construct your very own DIY lantern for use at home and at the Jacksonville Lantern Parade! All ages welcome.


DIY Paper Lantern Workshop on February 12, 2018 from 10:00am – 12:00pm

Cost: $25 member; $30 non-member

Learn how to design and construct your very own set of mini lanterns utilizing a variety of paper sculpting techniques!

Materials provided: LED tea lights, construction paper, cardboard paper rolls, wooden popsicle sticks, glue, scissors, hole punchers, and string
