Join us for a day of Craft Make & Take Workshops hosted during the 5th Annual Summer Craft & Vendor Event - Free to the Public presented by Jacksonville Business Connections.

Make and Take awesome products at each workshop. Each 45 minute workshop is being taught by a seasoned workshop host. Attend as many as you like, but buy early as each class has limited seating and supplies.

10am: Mala Bracelet DIY Workshop
Description: Age: 13+ In this class you will learn the history and purpose of a Mala as well as the traditional art of Mala making. At the end of the class you will have made your very own Mala bracelet and will know the significance behind your new piece of jewelry. Leave with a Mala bracelet and knowledge about the history of the Mala and its use.

11am: Decorate Ring Dishes Workshop
Description: Age: Any - Learn how to customize ring dishes for quick and easy gift giving. These dishes are perfect wedding gifts/favors, great for a housewarming or hostess gift and they are quick and fun to make. I'll show you how to customize them using decals alchohol inks. You will make 2 customized ring dishes

12pm: Cards & Gift Box Make & Take Workshop
Description: Age: 13+ - Each participant will make 4 greeting cards and be given an acetate box (suitable for gift giving). Age limit - typically at least age 9 and up but with adult supervision we’ve had successful classes with young stampers. All supplies will be provided.

1pm: Leather and Beads: Make & Take Necklace Workshop
Description: Age: 13+ - Enjoy creating a trending style necklace, with your own personal touch! You’ll receive everything needed to make a beaded, leather necklace with an optional leather tassel. While we will be teaching you our specific technique, your necklace length, color, and style are all yours to choose…We’ll have plenty of options at the jewelry bar!

2pm: Jellyfish Air Plant Make & Take Workshops
Description: Age: 10+ - Each terrarium contains two air plants one floating jellyfish suspended from a giant starfish and one on the ocean floor in a conch shell. Complete with baby star fish, moss coral, sea glass, and other assorted shells

3pm: Soap Make & Take Workshop
Description: Age: 16+ - Learn the basics of Cold Process soapmaking and take home a pound of your own handcrafted soap! Choose your fragrance and your own colorant to customize your creation. For safety, please bring an old long sleeve shirt to protect your clothes, wear long pants, and closed-toed shoes. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided.
