Based in Jacksonville, The Snacks Blues Band is a three-piece, high-energy band that has been playing in and around Florida since 2003. Their sound is unique, raw, edgy, and conveys a passion for the Blues and music in general. While preserving the deepest rooted Blues traditions in the style of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, RL Burnside, and John Lee Hooker they infuse their sound with many modern musical influences that include Funk, Rock, R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop. Their repertoire includes predominantly original music with a select few cover songs that they have modernized in their own fashion.The Snacks Blues Band includes Brian Boos on guitar, John-Michael Brown on harmonica/vocals and Matt Schaeffer on drums. In 2013 they independently released their first album “Whiskey Won’t Make You Forget,” and took first place in the St. John’s River Blues Festival. The Snacks Blues Band is currently performing regular live shows and plan to return to the studio in 2016.
