In celebration of the inaugural Jacksonville Lantern Parade on April 7, 2018, MOSH is hosting a series of lantern-construction workshops. Learn from local artists and MOSH Staff about the cultural significance of lanterns throughout the world, how different lanterns are made, and why creating your own will bring a magical element to any evening occasion.

Each workshop includes all the materials you’ll need to construct your very own DIY lantern for use at home and at the Jacksonville Lantern Parade! All ages welcome.


DIY Up-cycled Lantern Workshop on April 7, 2018 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm

Cost: $5/person in addition to the Jacksonville Mini Maker Faire admission fee

Learn how to up-cycle a variety of materials into a unique lantern masterpiece!

Materials provided: Recycled materials (we’ll provide a variety to get you started & you’re welcome to bring your own!), streamers, paper, glue, wire, scissors, hole-punchers, and string
