One of Jacksonville's favorite springtime traditions returns. The 49th Annual Home Tour, a signature fundraiser for one of the nation's original neighborhood advocacy organizations—Riverside Avondale Preservation—is set for the weekend of April 15 and 16. The annual event invites visitors to tour a select few of the city's most beautiful private homes, churches and small businesses, all while supporting efforts to save and restore the charm and character of two historic neighborhoods.
Event date and time: Saturday, April 15, 10 AM-4 PM; and Sunday, April 16, Noon-4 PM.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of the event. Each ticket purchased includes one-time admission into each participating home on either Saturday or Sunday. As a special addition to the Home Tour, a limited number of tickets are being offered for the pre-tour Twilight Party on Thursday, April 13. The backyard bash will be held at this year's featured home at 3404 St. Johns Avenue and will include food, cocktails and live music.
In addition to the Saturday and Sunday tour, the weekend features a number of special events including a Native Plant Sale, self-guided and guided bike tours, and the Art House, a pop-up gallery hosted by the Jacksonville Artists Guild.
