An Italian-inspired feast at Congaree and Penn featuring beautifully prepared local food, local beer, wine, and live music. Some of the best artisan businesses in Jacksonville are collaborating on this one of a kind event!

Some of the best local farms and businesses have come together with Slow Food First Coast for a dinner and fundraiser like no other. Featuring the traditional Italian dish porchetta, the evening's feast will be created by Chef Ryan from the Kitchen on San Marco, Juniper Market, and Chef Kurt D'Aurizio. Guests will enjoy live music, local beer and wine, hand crafted ferments by Olive My Pickle and desserts created by My Grandmother's Pie. Welcome cocktail provided by Manifest Distinning.

Porchetta [porˈketta] is a savory and moist boneless pork roast of Italian culinary tradition. The body of the pig is gutted, deboned, arranged carefully with layers of stuffing, meat, fat, and skin, then rolled, spitted, and roasted, traditionally over wood. Porchetta is salted and stuffed with garlic, rosemary, fennel, and other herbs. Porchetta has been selected by the Italian Ministero delle Politiche Agricole, Alimentari e Forestali as a prodotto agroalimentare tradizionale (“traditional agricultural-alimentary product”, one of a list of traditional Italian foods held to have cultural relevance).
